Shelly Glover

Shelly is a multi-talented employee of Edenwood Veterinary Clinic- you’ll find her in the front office, in the kennel and in the exam rooms. Shelly worked with us back in the early 1990’s, left for a few years to focus on her family, and rejoined our staff in 2002. If you’re looking for a new canine (or even feline) addition, Shelly is the one to help you find the perfect match. When not working at Edenwood Vet Clinic, Shelly loves to get caught up in a great book (if she can find the time!), she is very involved with her church and most importantly, Shelly enjoys spending time with her family. Shelly lives in Tiffin with her husband Greg, their children Zack, Meredith, Claire, Abby, and a few four-legged kids- Gomer- a Doberman, Brownie- a Labrador retriever and Sylvester the cat.

Clinic Cats

Jazzie

Jazzie is an approximately 6 year old female cat that lives here at Edenwood Vet Clinic. Back in 2004, she appeared one day in the woods behind the Clinic. After a little TLC, Jazzie knew she had found her new home. Jazzie is known to climb right up on the lap of our clients, particularly those who don’t like cats! Please feel free to push her off your lap- she’s used to it! Jazzie is a typical cat that only wants attention on her terms and she will let you know when she’s done. You may notice that Jazzie’s tail is a little short- she had to have a bit amputated after we discovered the tip of her tail was injured and bleeding one day. Jazzie was petrified of her sutures and chewed at them- which then required an additional bit to be amputated! Now she’s left with an awkwardly short tail. Jazzie loves to drink straight from the faucet, especially the hot water faucet in our surgery suite- which she can turn on (and off) all by herself! Jazzie enjoys teasing our patients- she’ll sit just out of reach of the dogs, staring at them as they bark and whine at her, and she’s always willing to explore our kitty patients’ carriers, sometimes she’ll even sit on top of an occupied carrier! Jazzie is our big “whiner”- please don’t be concerned if you hear a kitty yowl, we’re probably just cleaning Jazzie’s ears, or pushing her off our paperwork, or trying to brush her, or attempting to move her off her favorite spot on the fax machine!

Linden

Linden is our other Clinic cat- he is an 8 year old longhaired handsome man. Linden is a big boy- at 20+ pounds, he’s not all fur! Linden moved in with us when his previous owner passed away in 2008. He was very nervous and shy when he first came. He would often open the cabinet doors in the back and stay hidden almost all day. Since then, Linden has grown much more comfortable here and has even taken to bossing Jazzie around- he uses his size to get what he wants! Linden still doesn’t like dogs and he is seldom in the waiting room where our clients can pet him. You may see him at the front desk, standing right in front of the computer screen, begging for our attention. Linden’s favorite spots in the whole Clinic are on top of the refrigerator and on top of our pharmacy cabinets- we, of course, accommodate him with a comfy bed in each spot. If you get a glimpse of black fur up there- yes, that’s a real cat and yes, he really is that big! Unfortunately, Linden is too chubby to jump up on the countertop to access his two favorite spots, so he’ll sit there and stare at the counter, then stare at us, then back at the counter- until finally one of us gives in and lifts him up to the counter. Linden is on an ongoing diet and exercise plan and he is a constant reminder to us how difficult it can be to get our pets to lose weight!
